Our 3M Stikit system is designed for convenience in the workroom, where quick disc changes increase productivity. Disc rolls are an additional time saver, eliminating the need to remove a liner from the adhesive side of the disc. The mid-weight paper backing offers flexibility for sanding contours and an anti-loading coat on the abrasive surface helps prevent loading. A resin bond protects the disc from deterioration. Our 3M ceramic abrasive grain is a ceramic mineral designed using a 3M process to enhance toughness and hardness of the grain. For increased performance, 3M Stikit paper disc roll 735U products feature aluminum oxide blended with 3M ceramic abrasive grain for one of the most durable, longest-lasting abrasives available. Ceramic abrasives are engineered to cut fast and handle intense heat and stress. Ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, making this product an excellent choice for whitewood sanding and finishing applications, as well as random orbital sanding on metal substrates. 3M Stikit discs are high-quality, coated abrasive products with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside to allow easy application and removal. A PSA disc must be pressed onto a backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander or stationary disc sander. Stikit disc rolls make it easy to tear off a single disc and eliminate the need to remove a liner. Heat-resistant resin is a sturdy binding agent that adheres the abrasive to the backing and maintains the stability of the abrasive grains and the bond.
